Don’t you just love a driveway that is lined with trees? I wonder who does all the tree work for these wonderful trees. I am certain that Chris, Earth-in-Hands top tree guy would love the opportunity to work on a line of trees such as these.

At one time I had the opportunity to work with Chris on an ancient line of sycamore trees in a neighborhood off of Freemansburg Ave. in Easton. Not willing to risk hurting the trees, Chris diligently pruned the trees using a system of ropes and ladders, but refused to use spikes to climb the trees, as climbing spikes could damage the bark and enable infestation, disease and rot.

Spikes would have enabled Chris to save time and money, but Chris would rather ensure the job is done right than harm one of these ancient trees.  Thanks to Chris, the home is now encircled by about a dozen towering sycamores, that are much older than Chris, and will certainly be living and breathing for generations.
